From the Sunday Times-bestselling author of Clothes…and Other Things That Matter, Alexandra Shulman, comes an intriguing blend of memoir, anecdote, social observation and cultural history. Rooted in Alexandra’s experiences as a child, a journalist, a young woman always looking for the great love, a mother, and a Vogue magazine editor, the book explores the fabric of daily life alongside thoughts on style and the way we present ourselves – all described with her characteristic wit and incisiveness.

Alexandra Shulman left her job as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue in 2017 to embark on a different way of life and while this is in no way a book of self-discovery, it explores the question of things or patterns of behaviour that make us who we are and why they matter.
